I need to come up with a Halloween show.
Its all yours, I'm Halloweened out, and the podcast too. Owen didn't get his book I tried to get Amazon to send, so I'm not doing well on anything. Did yours ever show up?
Moon finally emailed saying the exact same things he told you, he sounds very frail.

Moon told me he had racked up a 300K medical bill! He did NOT mention any kind of ongoing medical care, I made a point of telling him NOT to let them take him off anti-seizure medication, since we all know about my episode last year.
I'm just collecting review comments, which will appear in the last version of the book in a front section called WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING, it will be illustrated I hope. I'll probably work on that one several months though so no hurry. Owen did find his waiting for him at the post office he said earlier today.
just got my Planetarian finally and thanks for the shoutout in your column!

Wow- love the new title page photo! Is that your Minolta Ron? Guilty. I thought it would be nice to see something that said "planetarium" other then just a picture of a machine or a star field. Looking forward to a thread of your new machine, especially some nice close up pictures of the planet projectors and the gearing. Just for those that would like some stars as well.

Yes, believe it, it’s true, I am back. I was not ever very far away, just hidden in my own small corner of the universe. Maybe a little crazier, I have changed a bit. We (Marge and I) moved to Myrtle Beach during 2014. If you do not know MB has to be the light pollution capitol of the east coast, second only to everyplace on the east coast. This led to the waning of my astronomy pursuits, including most things planetaria as well as most things social. Oh, I did search online occasionally for the old ObservatoryCentral or anything similar with no joy. Even threw in “all things planetarium”. Eventually I did fire up a new FB page and before I could turn off “friends” I found myself with 1 and today it’s the same. Just not very social I guess. The Star Barn Planetarium did pop up several years ago on FB and I have been lurking. So many times the the thought of visiting bubbled to the surface only to be burst that I did not allow myself to get close, got tired of the burst. HOWEVER, I (we) are about to start a Grand Adventure, that might turn out to be the Last Grand Adventure. We hope to be in The Star Barn Planetarium sometime during the second or third week of September. I sure hope you don’t mind Ron, but to be honest at this point it matters not. You have become a pin on the map. I will try to update this thread as we get closer. For now suffice it to say we will be in western PA on September 6th to begin our westward journey. As I recall, ownership of a Star Barn Copper Coin carries with it admission for 2 to a private OR public Star Barn Planetarium composition. I intend to take full advantage. Looking forward to meeting you in person, I am. It has come to the point I either remit the coin for a show or place it in some non-descript geocache and allow someone else to claim the show. AND I just might do both. Honestly, I’ve not ever been on a pilgrimage before however I imagine it might feel like this. Oh, and thank you for letting me back into the discussion.

Hi Stephen and welcome back to the group. For those that don't know Stephen, he was an early member of the original OC from back when it started in around 2006. I believe he originally started in the observatory section and then migrated to the planetarium area. Anyway, it is good to have you back. Hopefully you will keep the coin as a reminder of me, or the show (good or bad) as it is permanently good for admission any time you like. I would certainly give you a private program to fit in with your travel plans as I know how tentative they can be. Looking forward to meeting you and Marge and hope you find The Star Barn a worthwhile stop.
