Good question, as it depends on exactly what you want to do with it. Personally I've built to both extremes. I've built a small four foot dome for use with a Spitz Jr. projector... Not a lot of room for a lot of visitors. up to a thirty foot dome for an Minolta IIB projector. The construction of these and many others are in these pages and perhaps, you too, will add your efforts for others to see.

I came by some old issues of Astronomy now magazine from 1992/1993. This article caught my eye - sadly it was never built.

View Attachment There is a substantial difference between a philanthropist who funds a substantial amount of a project and a dreamer who is looking for total funding of a massive project. Chances are it will never happen. A bit of a shame in that with todays technology it would be interesting to see a movie in "sphereorama". One wonders how many broken bones from people falling over would do for insurance costs.
