Hi- hot on the heels of the Zeiss MkII I had a stab at modelling a ZKP1. The accuracy is a little bit lower because there are fewer detailed drawings and photos on the internet. I am not quite sure what scale it is. Inspired by Mark's model, adding lights is definitely the way to go - so this model has effectively become a desk lamp. It is not quite finished, I have not put all of the planet analogues on, nor put the leds in them yet. I have a soft spot for the ZKP1 - Liverpool World Museum has one - I only visited a couple of times but have very fond memories of it. The quality of the sky was amazing. Anyway - here is the naked (no planets) projector:

I have put the ZKP1 on Thingiverse so that anyone can download it. At the moment, it is on the second page if you search for Planetarium. I have mentioned planetariumsasahobby in the description.

Well it looks like there have been 8 downloads so far- that might be promising. I wonder if anyone will actually make one.
