I am making a model GE6S - as with all of my projects don't expect too much rapid progress. I have printed the 70 or so components that make up the northern globe and planetary cage. Just need some time to glue them together.

I guess trying to print it out as one piece would generate it as a "fail". That is a lot of parts, probably as many as are in the original machine.

i couldnt google up anything on that Duke, what does it look like? I like the model concept, you are adding to your museum concept as well as the working Zeis-a-tarium!
RW did you see the request for info on your facebook, i tried to help and endorse you, but deleted my later comments about your email list in case that was too much info to be giving out on someone else's board lol. been trying to endorse you more than i have the last couple years!
yeah my brother's trip was a surprise 60th birthday getaway which i didnt find out about until pictures started appearing on my feed, they had a pretty tight schedule. i think the places they went arent that close to Phoenix, but not sure?
Working on a book now based on public domain old poetry. Still no working computer equip in the coop after the flood that followed the freeze that followed the wind. pretty biblical.
also my fellow moderators on my big facebook board both quit, so now im juggling that by myself, it gets about 5 fake account requests per day. i think the moderators were fake people being run by the previous administrator but i cant prove it. they've disappeared however lol
having a blast collecting old poetry books too.

Go to: www.goto.co.jp/english/work/transition/ Go down the page to the pictures and you will see the GE-6. Yes, thank you for the endorsement and please put back whatever you took away. Looks like you took everything away. I like the interaction as it will perhaps get others involved. The information as to sending an email to get on the email list is published throughout the site and is right at the top. Perhaps it needs to be dead top. I find it interesting that no one has mentioned that they need to send me their email so I can send them information. Please put back the endorsement and anything else you might have taken away. It helps with flow.

This is the thread that prompted me to sign up for these forums.
Are these models available for download? Such is exactly the sort of thing I am wanting to replicate.

Hi Starsheep - WELCOME to OC2!!!! The Zeiss II model is available for download - there is a link to the model files (there are about 60 components) on the second page of the "Scott's 3D Zeiss II" thread.
I hope you enjoy making it.
I haven't finished the Goto GE6S but will share it when it is finished.

Hi Scott;
I saw the Ziess when I was browsing the forums. My interests are in the Spitz and the Morrison. As these are the ones I grew Up with.
I think there was a Ziess outside the dome at the Deuches Museum in munich when I visited 30 years ago. Curious how even back then projectors were considered obsolete. DLP was the new kid on the block. Nearly bought some DLP chips to experiment with.
The makerspace just got a resin printer. No one knows how to use it yet. Took some photos of the maker plate last week . It is an ELEG<infinity> Jupiter 6K.
Ironically I was introduced to the makerspace, a decade back, by a machinist friend who volunteered at the academy. He wanted to make a copy of the Morrison. Said Japanese tourist would bow down in front of it and say "Grandfather."

Thingiverse stats to date on the Spitz and the ZKP1. Looks like there is more fondness for the Spitz than the ZKP maybe?
