After years and years of blood, sweat, and tears we have a finished planetarium. So what do we do with it? Eventually we will share it with people we don't know and this can be loosely called "public education". This thread is for those that have reached this point in their planetarium journey. Share with us your outreach.

I just received this email yesterday and it is the kind of thing I really like to get.
"Dear Mr. Walker—we visited your facility some years ago as part of a tour and thought that it was a special place and really enjoyed seeing it.
We have some folks from back East coming to visit and were wondering whether the Starbarn is still open for visitors.
Could you please advise and thank you!
Ann and Lee B."
This confirms I'm on somewhat the right track and, yes, does my ego good as well. This is how the Star Barn gets visitors, it's all word of mouth and referrals.

At least they didn't say, "HAY, short gray headed guy who shows dots of light on the ceiling". My guess he was in a group that came out and he had no "one on one" with me. Also probably an older group that still has respect for old people. And no, I don't introduce myself as "Mr. Walker", just the idiot that built this thing. I am just surprised that people remember and want to come again.

Speaking of Hail Mary, there is a book called "The Hail Mary" written by the same fellow who wrote "The Martian". Highly recommended and it looks like it will be made into a movie as well.

That's it. I just like a good book of any kind. I also enjoy C.J, Box series on Joe Pickett.

So he's some kind of Wyoming Conservation Cop, now a Paramont Plus tv show too I notice. You don't mean to tell me you have ALL of these? Interesting, my wife does something similar, she has author's that she tries to get all in the series, even when they come out with new hardbacks she usually buys them. So do you read them AND watch the show on tv?

Actually I like the TV show as the cast fits and they follow the book very well. They take their time as well as the entire season is just the first book.
