So here's my final request on the book
With everyone's permission I'd like to include a few 'review' comments in the final print edition of the book (in a 'what people are saying page', its several months away though, the last frontier is to put some pictures in. I won't use names, maybe initials? Let me know what you would prefer or if not at all thats ok too, but again, thank you SO MUCH for the fantastic words. The book was alot of work and mostly trial and error, but worth it! thanks again
with that i'll shut up about it already lol!

Gare makes mention that at age 70 (Happy Birthday. by the way) it is time to stop collecting planetarium good junk. Many a morning I wake up thinking the same thing and that thought is coming more and more often. By ten AM such thoughts of folly clear my head and I continue with my day. What I had decided (several years ago now) is that I would stop paying for any more. If something is going to the dump and looks worthy of one day becoming a useful tool in the planetarium, then saved it must be. It is true, if the planetarium works...use it and don't worry about expanding it.

exactly my approach now, i no longer buy anything but the occasional book. frugal is the name o the game now! we've switched grocery stores and are now buying much cheaper. ive also reduced alot of monthly automatic fees like maintenance contracts etc. 70 means business!
i just suddenly like the uncluttered look. back to basics. still using the copper cylinder too though.

I'm surprised that you don't set up that geodesic frame with the copper cylinder and have a good permanent dome type planetarium. All the parts are there.

WERK! i'm very happy with my sparse lobby planetarium. the copper cylinder is a conversation piece and a coffee table, and my son told us on zoom yesterday he wants to keep it. i was like indy, i thought it belonged in a museum lol besides, i already have a book now 'starballs in the rain'. the geodesic thing is part of that.

Is that like the Zeiss that is part of a fountain now. Such an iconic piece of home planetarium history is now a coffee table.

Is that like the Zeiss that is part of a fountain now. Such an iconic piece of home planetarium history is now a coffee table. the lobby planetarium is so tight, the cylinder cant be used in there, all the stars need to go UP, the seats are so close together peoples knees will almost hit. ive got the cylinder where it can still be lit up and admired, it is a thing of beauty that can be gazed upon. I touch on this in the final episode of my new side hustle podcast i banged out this morning entitled 'The Casual Planetariumist'. Not out yet. the coffee table thing was just jiving you know.

I thought the tin can was to be the new planetarium??? What is the lobby planetarium??? i created a small planetarium in the coop lobby using the homestar and just the ceiling for now, but the cylinder is still on display. the tin can is filled with junk from both the barn and the shelter the intruder invaded out by the woods. i think i've left too crooked a trail to follow on all these podcasts!

That is the truth. Like this morning all I get is "No Episodes Found" on the "It's The Stars You Know" site. Everything is blank as far as I can tell.

I guess you need a second tin can. cash flow problem say things are still tight around here as discussed before, and a second tin can would only fill up with junk from the 4 dumps i still have around the property. no, multi-purpose is my thing now, and a lobby is the perfect space that fits that bill. i am content.
