70 is the new 90....if that's true I'm in serious trouble. The lady is not as smart as she thinks she is, or perhaps she is smarter then all of us put together. But then again, since she is a figment of just one individual then she can't be any smarter or dumber then that individual. Sneaky is more like it. Anyway, so I can still sleep at night, I believe the line is more like 70 is the new 50 and 90 is the new 70.

But Urania frequently speaks in allegory, in this case a personal allegory of me. My neurologist told me her husband had a stroke similar to mine, but wouldn't take his medicine and he died of the same type of seizure i had, at a time when he had a life expectancy of a good 20 more years. She wanted to make sure I understood the importance of staying on my stroke medicine, and it worked! I haven't missed a pill yet! She takes a blood test every time though anyway to keep me honest lol So a person who would normally live to 90 might die at 70 if he didnt take care of himself.

I note that the two podcasts are the same. Will they continue that way?

That sounds right. Gustavo offered his forum for use by the original people who were designing and then building the original ExploraDome. The original banter was on Cloudy Nights and they kept moving us around as no one knew where our threads should go. Some people where using calf shelters converted into observatory domes and the thought was to design up an actual dome using the same manufacturing process. I guess CN thought it was too commercial and kept dumping and moving the threads. PolyDome polydome.com/services/calf-huts/ the company that made the calf shelters worked with the CN group to build the ExploraDome. explora-dome.com/ In order to banter freely without the constant moving and removal of posts we moved over to Gustavo's site. This is where PAAH was born. The interest was overwhelming for both the observatory and planetarium threads and soon overpowered Gustavo's site. This is when Dave (I don't remember his last name) offered to host an entire site and included all types of observatories and called it Observatory Central. Some thought it sacrilege to talk about anything other then the ExploraDome and many left in droves. Then the PAAH section grew and grew until the software was no longer supported any longer and even trying to move it to another forum support was well into four figures with no guarantee of success. Drummond was one of the original designers and supporters of the ExploraDome and was pivotal in getting the calf shelter people to eventually make the ExploraDome. If I remember correctly, marital problems brought his dream to a close.

I know my hearing is not as good as it once was, but the last two podcasts from Gare were so low in volume as to be unintelligible. The fake people come through fine but not Gare. Please use a recording VU meter and turn up your recording volume.

I fixed it, the reason was, i had moved the boom with SM58 over to point directly into my powered speaker in order to use Google Doc Voice to Text, so I was hand-holding the mike to talk into it and it was further away, i boosted the two you mentioned and will move the boom back to where it was originally. Also I'm back on Podbean now too and will try to keep both going for awhile. Try it again if you have time, 19 probably made no sense without hearing 18 first lol

I agree, podbean is the best. My only quibble is that it plays from the last to the first moving backwards through time. Perhaps there is a way to change that.

the order in which podbean plays the episodes wouldnt be a problem if i hadnt put out so many short ones, you're supposed to put out one longer one per week or two, so that sorting isn't a factor. I'd like to try that approach, that's why I'm not rushing into it for once. im trying to find a new approach, but all i have is 'the hpa way' so far, whatever that means. i've got my thinking cap on, but so far i'm only getting static lol
